Aligning ED&I and HR: Improving People Processes Together

In the fast-evolving landscape of Human Resources (HR), professionals are constantly faced with the challenge of aligning their practices with the principles of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (ED&I).

Recent surveys and studies have shown that any inability to do so isn’t for lack of trying; 85% of HR leaders acknowledge the importance of ED&I, yet 60% struggle with effectively implementing these principles within their existing frameworks.

Common roadblocks range from mismatched strategies and resistance to change, to a lack of buy-in from leadership or insufficient resources allowing both functions to unify their approaches.

Recognising the pivotal role both of these functions play in shaping organisational culture and employee experiences, our upcoming webinar, “Aligning ED&I and HR: Improving People Processes Together,” is unmissable for anyone responsible for supporting employees throughout their employee lifecycle.

Early last year we sat down and spoke with ED&I and HR professionals about the challenges in breaking down the siloed working between the two business functions responsible for People Processes.

One year on, we were joined by Matt Foster, Director of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Ogilvy UK and Yasmin Lord-Pottinger, Senior People & Talent Partner at CharlieHR to discuss strategic solutions to aligning ED&I with HR professionals.

From redefining recruitment methodologies and cultivating diverse talent pools, to dismantling bias in talent acquisition and establishing inclusive leadership.

At the core of the webinar is the critical need for collaborative partnerships between HR and ED&I professionals. There’s insights into fostering synergy, breaking down silos, and creating a shared vision that unites the two departments to drive sustained change and progress within organisations.

You can expect to take away:

  • Insights into the prevalent challenges hindering ED&I integration in HR.
  • Practical strategies to overcome resistance and implement ED&I practices effectively.
  • Methods for fostering collaboration between HR and ED&I departments.
