Could you help remove barriers to reporting?

Join Our Experts by Experience Advisory Panel

Have you been subjected to bullying, harassment, or sexual misconduct at work?

Would you like to use your experience to help improve how people access support and report harmful behaviour?

Culture Shift is creating a new Experts by Experience Advisory Panel. We’re looking for people to help shape the future of our platform.

What’s involved?

At Culture Shift, we’re always looking to make reporting harm experienced at work easier, safer, and more supportive. To do that effectively, we want to collaborate with individuals who have experienced harm in their workplace, so that what we design helps those who need it.

As a member of the panel, you’ll contribute by:

  • Testing and suggesting ways to improve how our platform works
  • Sharing your experience of reporting harm to improve future experiences for others
  • Shaping how organisations respond to bullying, harassment, including sexual harassment or misconduct

Who are we looking for?

We want to hear from people who have been subjected to any of the following in the workplace:

  • Bullying
  • Harassment or hate crime related to race, gender identity, sex, disability, religion, age, or sexual orientation
  • Sexual harassment, violence or misconduct

We value your time, expertise, and emotional labour, which is why this is a paid opportunity.

What you’ll get:

  • £300 day rate
  • Travel, accommodation and catering costs covered
  • The chance to influence real change in how harm is reported and responded to in the workplace
  • To join a supportive, trauma-informed process that puts care and wellbeing first

What’s the commitment?

  • A short online orientation session (Early September date TBC)
  • Pre-reading before meetings
  • Two in-person panel meetings (Manchester: Tuesday 23d September & Mid January date and time TBC)
  • Providing feedback after meetings

How to apply?

Deadline to apply is Monday, 28th July 9am.

There will be a two-stage application process.

The first stage is to detail your experience so that your suitability to participate can be considered. This will be a confidential process, and the details of your experience will only be shared with the selection panel of 3 people. As we want to make this as accessible a process as possible, we are offering people the opportunity to submit additional details of their experience in written, audio or video format.

First, complete this Google form, which gathers some key information about you and what you’ve experienced. If you have any access needs or require the form in another format, please email: hello@culture-shift.co.uk

Submit a supporting file detailing your experience:

Please email this supporting file to hello@culture-shift.co.uk

Written format should be no more than 2 pages of A4.

Audio or video recordings should not exceed 5 minutes in length.

The supporting file can be shorter than stated above if you wish.

The second phase for people considered suitable to take part in the panel will be a short call with the Head of Culture Transformation to discuss how you would engage as a panel member.

The participants selected to take part will be chosen to represent a range of people, industries, and types of experience and whether you reported or not. We thank you in advance for taking the time to apply. We intend to notify everyone who applies of the outcome of their application by August 20th or before.
